After each shift, dental professionals rate your office on four key attributes:
1. Preparation for Success
How well you prepare temps to succeed in your office.
Key areas: Warm greeting and orientation, clear workspace setup, software access with login credentials, practice-specific "cheat sheets" (x-ray protocols, charting guidelines, office services, team contacts), advanced communication about expectations
2. PPE & Infection Control
Your infection control standards and safety protocols.
Key areas: PPE stocked in multiple sizes (gloves, masks, goggles, jackets), up-to-date infection control systems, functional sterilization equipment and proper barriers, regular equipment maintenance (autoclaves, waterlines, suction), clutter-free, easily sterilized environments
3. Office Environment
Your workplace culture and team dynamics.
Key areas: Welcoming, supportive atmosphere, professional communication and respect, team integration (huddles, introductions, lunch plans), support through questions and guidance, treating temps as valued professionals, not "just temps"
4. Tools & Equipment
Quality and functionality of clinical equipment.
Key areas: Sharp, functional instruments with adequate rotation supply, ergonomic clinician chairs with proper mobility, comfortable patient chairs with adequate workspace, functional overhead lighting, left/right-handed flexibility

Payment & Cancellation Best Practices
While these don't affect your ratings, they significantly impact your reputation:
Prompt Payment
- Communicate payment terms clearly in shift details
- Honor agreed-upon payment timelines
- Use TempStars "Pay Now" feature for convenience
- Follow through on payment commitments promptly
- Build trust through reliable payment practices
Cancellations & Hour Modifications
- 24-hour rule: Cancellations within 24 hours require 50% compensation (minus 30 minutes)
- Communicate early: Cancel or modify shifts as soon as you know
- Be considerate: Understand that last-minute changes impact professionals' income
- Honor commitments: Avoid a pattern of last-minute cancellations
- Modify respectfully: Discuss hour changes professionally; temps may decline modifications
