How To Post a Temping Shift

Step #1: Log into your TempStars office account (Don’t have an account yet? Sign up for free!) 

Step #2: Double click on the calendar date you need to post a shift for.

Step #3: Answer the system prompts to fill out all the details of the shift (proposed rate, position needed, times, etc.)

Step #4: As soon as you “Post Shift” you will see an empty red circle on that calendar date which means it was successfully posted and is available to all hygienists (or assistants) within 110km of your office!

Now that your shift is posted, the next thing to do is wait and review offers the come in. Some important things to remember! When you have an active offer, that empty red circle will turn into a red target symbol.

And don’t worry, you don’t have to keep checking your account if you don’t want to. We will email you as soon as someone sends in an offer to that shift! As well, if you download our free app, you will also get text notifications letting you know - it’s the best way to stay on top of your shifts for the latest updates! 

Offers are live and active for 18 hours before they expire, so be sure to keep an eye on your inbox and download the app for live notifications! When you get an offer, you’ll have access to: the hygienist’s/assistant’s year and school of graduation, their resume, star rating, and hourly rate.

You will then review the hygienist/assistant and the hourly rate and accept the offer that is the best fit for you and your office. Accepting an offer automatically books and confirms that hygienist/assistant for your shift. Hourly rates vary depending on the hygienist/assistant, but are always subject to your approval.

That’s it! Each step of the way you will be sent confirmation emails to ensure you know exactly what stage of the process you’re at and so you have all the information you need for a successful shift.
