The Four Rating Categories
After each shift, dental offices rate you on four key attributes:
1. Clinical Skills
Your technical competency and quality of care.
Dental Hygienists: Patient assessments, periodontal care, treatment techniques, patient education Dental Assistants: Technical support, organization, taking initiative, working within scope of practice
2. Professionalism
Your conduct, attitude, and professional standards.
Key areas: Appearance, punctuality, workplace conduct, respecting office policies, positive attitude, confidentiality
3. Communication
How effectively you interact with the team and patients.
Key areas: Clear communication, active listening, asking appropriate questions, professional tone, and providing updates
4. Time Management
Your efficiency, punctuality, and organization.
Key areas: Arriving early, staying on schedule, systematic workflow, workspace organization, handling delays professionally
Note: Offices also rate "Value for Hourly Rate," but this does NOT impact your account; it is for internal purposes only.
