Boosted Shifts: Get Your Urgent Shifts Filled Faster

What Are Boosted Shifts?

Boosted Shifts (also called Featured Shifts) are a new way to give your temping shift posts maximum visibility on TempStars. When you boost a shift, it gets pinned to the very top of the available shifts list that our dental professionals see, making it instantly viewable by everyone on the platform.

How It Works

When you post a shift, you'll see an option to "Boost This Shift." Here's what happens when you boost:

1. Instant Priority Placement: Your shift gets pinned to the top of the shifts list
2. Maximum Visibility: Every dental professional browsing shifts will see your post first
3. Limited Competition: Only 10 boosted shifts are allowed in any market at a time, so you're guaranteed prominent placement
4. Automatic Queue System: If all 10 boost slots are filled, you'll automatically join a queue and get boosted as soon as a slot becomes available
5. Pay-for-Results: You're only charged when you actually receive an offer on your boosted shift

The Queue System

Since we limit boosted shifts to 10 per market to ensure maximum visibility for everyone, here's what happens when all spots are taken:

• Your boost request automatically enters a queue
• As soon as a boosted shift slot becomes available, your shift automatically gets boosted
• If your shift gets booked while it's still in the queue (before being boosted), you're not charged anything
• You'll receive notifications about your queue status and when your boost becomes active

What Boosted Shifts DO ( and Don't Do)

• Pins your shift to the top of the list for Last-minute shift coverage needs
• Gives maximum visibility to all dental professionals for shifts that are challenging to fill
• Increases the likelihood of receiving multiple offers -Competitive markets where you want to stand out
• Helps fill urgent or hard-to-fill shifts faster for those High-priority days when you absolutely need coverage

❌ What Boosting DOESN'T Do:

• Guarantee offers at your posted "suggested" rate
• Force professionals to offer at specific rates
• Change how professionals set their hourly rates

Remember: Your posted rate is a suggestion that helps professionals understand your budget. Professionals submit offers based on their own rates, experience, and availability.

Cost: $25 + tax per boosted shift Current Availability: Ontario only (beta testing phase)

Important: You're only charged when you receive value. Here's how billing works:

• No upfront payment required
• You're charged only when you receive at least one offer on your boosted shift - so keep an eye out for those offers so you can fill that shift!
• If your shift gets booked while in the queue (before being boosted), there's no charge
• A receipt is automatically sent when your shift gets booked or when you remove the boost (as long as you received at least one offer)
• If no one submits an offer, you pay nothing

Getting Started

Ready to try boosted shifts? Simply post your shift as usual and look for the "Boost This Shift" option during the posting process. Don't worry if all boost slots are full - you'll automatically join the queue and get boosted as soon as possible.

Terms and Conditions

Boosted Shifts Service Terms

By using the Boosted Shifts feature, you agree to the following terms in addition to TempStars' general Terms of Service:

Service Description: Boosted Shifts is a premium placement service that positions your shift posting at the TOP of the available shifts list for increased visibility to dental professionals on the TempStars platform.

Billing and Payment:

• Charges apply only when you receive at least one offer on your boosted shift
• The current rate is $25 CAD plus applicable taxes (HST/GST) in Ontario
• Payment will be automatically processed using your payment method on file
• Receipts are provided electronically upon charge processing
• No charges apply if your shift is booked while in queue (before boost activation) or if no offers are received

Service Availability:

• Limited to 10 active boosted shifts per market at any given time
• Queue system operates on a first-come, first-served basis
• Service availability may be suspended for maintenance or technical issues without prior notice

Beta Program Disclaimer:

• Boosted Shifts is currently in beta testing phase in Ontario only
• Features, pricing, and availability may change without notice during the beta period
• TempStars reserves the right to modify or discontinue the service at any time
• Beta participants may experience occasional technical issues or service interruptions

Refunds and Cancellations:

• Charges are non-refundable once an offer has been received on your boosted shift
• You may remove a boost before receiving any offers without charge
• Technical issues resulting in service failure may qualify for refunds at TempStars' discretion

Limitations:

• Boosted Shifts increase visibility but do not guarantee shift fulfillment
• TempStars makes no warranties regarding the number or quality of offers you may receive
• Standard TempStars policies apply to all shift bookings and professional interactions

Data and Privacy:

• All boosted shift data is subject to TempStars' Privacy Policy
• Usage analytics may be collected to improve the service during beta testing
