In this release, we introduced our new Affiliate Program. All existing members will be given an affiliate code that they can give to other dental professionals to sign up with. We record how many individuals sign up with your code, and how many of those people complete shifts. Based on your Affiliate Status and when your referrals complete shifts, you can make money that TempStars sends directly to you.

4.1.2 Released May 25/22
With a focus on our USA members, we produced a quick turn around release with a few tweaks to the USA platform experience.
We add the Pay Now option back to our USA members and transferred to our USA members via venmo.
We updated the COVID19 PPE Protocols & Guidelines that shows on the booked shift page, to say “TempStars has confirmed this office meets or exceeds {{state/province}} PPE & Infection Control guidelines”.
We also updated the Endorsement pop-up, that shows after a completed shift, removing the Covid19 section. And added two more endorsement options: Friendly staff; Good Equipment/tools.
During the USA hygienist sign up, we now allow for letters, numbers, and dashes to be entered into the hygienist license field, to accommodate for different license variations between states.
This release was mostly centered around optimizing the Admin Dashboard for our frontline agents.
Small tweak to the My Stats page and included the members affiliate code there.
We also added the terms and services to the support page.
This is the second half to our insta-book feature. When an office posts a shift, they will then be asked if they would like to look through the hygienists/assistants in their area who have specified they are available to be instantly-booked in for that shift.

- Hygienists/assistants can still instantly book the shift on their end (if the shift was enabled to be instantly booked) (note: once either side of the platform has instantly booked the shift, no offers or other members can instantly book the shift or send in offers - to avoid double bookings).
This feature allows hygienists and assistants to set their global settings and daily settings to be instantly booked in (they set their hourly rate, distance, earliest start time and latest end time - the shift needs to be within the specific daily requirements for the hyg/da to show up on the list and be instantly booked by an office).

There is so much excitement for this release! We are introducing the insta-book feature. If you have Pro or Elite status as a hygienist or assistant, you will now have the ability to instantly book a shift (meaning, you won't need to send in an offer and wait) for shifts offices have specified they would like instantly booked!
When you are browsing shifts, you will see an "Insta-book" symbol beside some of them offered at the office's suggested rate. If that rate is acceptable for you, you can instantly book yourself into that shift and skip the wait time of sending in an offer!
Note: Before instantly booking yourself into any shift, be absolutely sure you can work it. Any cancellations will be handled as normal.
If you wish to offer a different rate, just submit an offer as normal and wait for a response from the office.

This release was focused on the backend and included tweaks and changes to make the system work faster and smoother. We also tweaked some of the pop-ups for new members to better portray our membership values.
On the office side, we removed the "Paid" toggle as we were getting a lot of feedback from offices that it wasn't helpful, so now it is removed for a cleaner and simpler look.
A big initiative with this release was we started a New Member promotion. As a new member (started May 3rd 2021 and going forward) if you complete 3 shifts within 30days of the day you signed up, we will send you a $25 dollar amazon gift card. You can see and keep track of your progress and the promotion in your My Stats page.
In this update we also introduced the Endorsement Feature. After a shift is completed, the hygienist or assistant can now endorse that office as having adequate COVID PPE at their office. If the hygienist/assistant does endorse the office, this endorsement tag will show on that office's future shifts so other hygienists/assistants can see. Through many discovery calls with our members, we understood that it was nerve-racking to go into new offices or offices that you didn't know, so now with this endorsement feature you can have confidence going into offices knowing other TempStars members have endorsed it.
This release included a lot of wording changes to make policies, functions, features, etc more clear for our members.
We also added a second option for e-transfers, so now hygienists or assistants can enter in a phone number or alternate e-transfer email for payment. Additionally, we added a 3 attempt limit on verifying a phone number. After a 3rd wrong attempt, the member is asked to email our Support Team for help.
This was used as a clean-up release and we tweaked how the Dental Assistant 1 & 2 position show on the confirmation page and offer page, so now it more clearly states their position.
We also included backend tweaks to make the system work smoother and cleaner.
This was a quick turn around release to fix the hiccup in the PPE flow. In 3.8, when an office was posting a shift for a Non-Aerosol Procedure, the hygienist wasn’t seeing the PPE the office selected as providing for the shift. With the 3.8.1 release, the hygienist can now see what the office is providing for those shifts.
We also cleaned up the action of Saving information in the profile section, for a hygienist and dental assistant on the iOS app.
Big changes in this release! For months we have been working towards launching our Pro and Elite membership program! If you gain Pro or Elite status, you are in the top 25th percentile of our membership, which contains thousands of members - that's an amazing accomplishment! To gain Pro or Elite status, you need to
- complete a minimum amount of shifts
- keep all your shift commitments
- get great feedback after completed shifts
It's that easy! We also re-designed the My Stats page so that members can see their status (Active, Pro or Elite) and see what steps they need to take to get to the next active status. They will be able to see how many Very Happy and Happy reviews they have, how many more shifts with positive feedback they need, and how many more shifts they need to complete.
Additionally, we included a mobile phone verification to our hygienist and dental assistant member side. When they first log in after this release, they will be requested to verify their phone number. They must do this before they can submit an offer which will ensure we have accurate information in our database as well as cut down on duplicate accounts.
